A global company in the retail industry is expanding its presence and looking for an HR Manager with experience in building an HR department from scratch. If you have experience in developing and implementing HR strategies, recruitment, retention, talent management, and ensuring compliance, particularly in the retail industry, this is the perfect role for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the leadership team to define and implement the HR strategy, including recruitment, retention, and succession planning;
  • Provide support and guidance to management and staff in complex, sensitive situations (investigations, terminations, etc.);
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process for managerial and specialized positions, ensuring the identification of the best candidates;
  • Analyze compensation and benefits trends, proposing competitive compensation and retention packages;
  • Develop and implement training and professional development programs;
  • Oversee disciplinary processes, including investigations and terminations;
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, both local and international, and update internal policies accordingly;
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends, best practices, and technologies in HR, talent management, and compliance.

 

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of experience in human resources management, within the retail industry;
  • Experience in building an HR department from scratch;
  • Previous experience in the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region or in a regional role is an advantage;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution skills;
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively;
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and regulations;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems;
  • Advanced proficiency in English, in addition to the local language.

 

Location: Bucharest (Hybrid)
