Job description

We are looking for Asset and Material Area Manager for a major road infrastructure project in Romania, to join our Webuild team.

Main responsibilities :

  • During the bid study phase and/or new initiative phase, supervising the activities to support the Bidding & Engineering Department, relating to the organization of the P&E structures of the Project, and the possible optimization of the Plants and Machinery needed for executing the Project;

  • Supporting the project's start-up and implementing the P&E structure and the Group's processes, tools, and methods;

  • Throughout the Project's life cycle, supporting the development and verification of the Plant and Machinery budgets, also verifying all the possibilities for optimization, through possible synergies within the Group;

  • Coordinating and supervising Project Plant Managers in operational activities, for achieving Project objectives, and for managing activities of the Group's Plant and Machinery fleet, also ensuring the application of methods and tools for detecting parameters and appropriate efficiency evaluation indicators and qualitative effectiveness;

  • Analyzing aggregate reporting relating to data and parameters of Plants and Machinery, to define the strategic plan of the Group's machinery;

  • In the project closure phase, coordinating and supervising Plant Managers during verification activities relating to the reuse of the Plants and Machinery in other Operating Units, also ensuring optimal management of the dismantling and transfer phases;

  • Managing transversal projects of continuous improvement, efficiency, innovation in the Plant & Equipment field, on a global perimeter.

 



Requirements
  • MSc University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar degree;

  • Minimum 7-8 years of experience in similar roles, within structured and international organizations, and preferably gained in the Construction, Plant Engineering and/or Oil & Gas sector, also preferably including at least 3-4 years of experience in the complex projects field;

  • Knowledge of technologies, products, plants and machinery used in the sector, as well as all related processes (acquisition and commissioning, maintenance, whole life cycle management, certifications and applicable legislation, management of associated costs, spare parts, decommissioning, logistics issues);

  • Structured approach, combined with the ability to develop and manage complex plans;

  • Ability to analyze, plan, budget and monitor costs;

  • Problem solving and a result-oriented approach;

  • Leadership and capable of coordinating resources in multicultural contexts and complex structures;

  • Collaborative approach, interpersonal and negotiation skills;

  • Excellent knowledge of the Office package (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

  • Knowledge of the main analysis and planning tools;

  • fluent English; knowledge of a second foreign language is a plus;

  • Willing to travel globally.
