Randstad is committed to the protection of Personal Data that are entrusted to us. Personal details are therefore handled and secured with the greatest possible care, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation no. 679/2016 (GDPR)
This notice explains who we are, for what purposes we may use your data, how we handle it, to whom may we disclose it, where it may be transferred to and what are your rights.

Randstad Romania Srl., a limited liability company duly organized and existing under the laws of Romania, headquartered at 153-155 Dacia Blvd., 6th Floor, Space A, 2nd District, Bucharest, Romania, registered with Bucharest Trade Register under no. J40/8174/2005, sole registration code 17549799 (referred to in this notice as: “we” or “Randstad Romania”), together with its related group companies in Romania, namely Randstad Staffing SRL, a limited liability company duly organized and existing under the laws of Romania, headquartered at 59 Calea Mosilor, Attic, 3rd District, Bucharest, Romania, registered with Bucharest Trade Register under no. J40/1243/2014, sole registration code 32743070 will process your personal data (also referred to in this notice as “information”) for the purposes described below. Randstad Romania is the controller of the personal data (‘controller’ within the meaning of the applicable Data Protection law).
Why do you need my information?
We will only use your personal data for the purpose of recruitment purposes, namely to search & select, and purpose of staffing and associated functions such as payrolling, salary administration, HR and personnel management. We do so based on:
- your consent, that given by signing the consent form or by accepting this Privacy Notice when you submit your details via our website. The legal grounds for such processing is art. 6 par. (1) lit. a) of the GDPR;
- because it is necessary for the performance of a contract (e.g. employment contract). The legal grounds for such processing is art. 6 par. (1) lit. b) of the GDPR;
- in order to comply with the legal obligation to which we are subject related to the applicable employment regulations and tax laws.[2] , including Law no. 53/2003 on the Labor Code, the Government Decision no. 500/2011 on the Electronic Register for Employees’ Evidence, Accountability Law no. 82/1991 and the Fiscal Code, the Law no. 156/2000 on the intermediation of workforce, as well as any enactments as they may be adopted from time to time.
- our legitimate interests, by using applications that support in execution of the tasks related to our services. The legal grounds for such processing is art. 6 par. (1) lit. f) of the GDPR.
We will not use your personal data for other purposes than those explained in this notice without informing you first and, may it be the case, obtain your consent.
Where do we get your information from?
Save for the cases in which you provide us with your personal data, there may be cases when some candidates are sourced from publicly accessible sources (e.g. LinkedIn, Google +, Best Jobs, Ejobs, etc). In such a case, we will collect personal data available on those sources (your ID data, your contacts, education, work experience, interests, curriculum vitae) but we will only process those data if that data subject has provided us with consent.
How will you use my information?
We use your information to be able to:
send you offers and / or information about our services and other activities, as well as to better coordinate these with your requirements and qualifications. These tasks are performed by our employees and are partially automated (e.g. in case of a vacancy notice)

Randstad will secure and protect your personal data against loss or misuse. We do this on the basis of physical, administrative, organizational and technical security measures.
For example: Only authorized access to the information. If and to the extent that data is provided to the data service providers who provide services or perform tasks on their behalf, Randstad has also entered into an agreement with them that they will ensure the personal data as efficiently as possible.
For how long will you keep my information?
Your personal data will be kept as follows:
a) CVs shall be kept for 4 years;
b) reviews, evaluation etc during employment – shall be kept during the evaluation period and afterwards for the statute of limitation period (3 years);
c) cost declarations, travel costs statement etc-considering that this kind of documents – shall be kept for 10 years;
d) salary, wage tax information etc. – shall be kept for 50 years according to National Archives Law no. 16/1996;
e) other type of information collected from you in the context of executing the work contract – shall be kept during the validity of the work contract;
f) other type of information collected from you in the context of intermediation of the workforce – shall be kept during the validity of the intermediation project and afterwards during statute of limitation period (3 years).
Will you share my information with others?
We may disclose your personal information with:
- our clients, for potential vacancies and placements
- our third party service providers, to perform tasks on our behalf
- Public institutions and authorities, such as Territorial Labor Inspectorates, Tax Authorities, Banks and other credit institutions.
The Randstad group of companies, for reporting requirements, namely to Randstad Holding International n.v.., limited liability company duly organized and existing under the laws of Netherlands, headquartered at Holland, Diemermere 25, 1112TC, Diemen, registered with Trade Register under no. 33216172.
Our use of your information in accordance with this notice may involve the transfer of this information to other countries, including outside the European Union. In that case, we have put in place appropriate safeguards to ensure your personal data is adequately protected (you can contact us at privacy@randstad.ro, in order to obtain a copy of those) and we will accordingly inform you before any transfer is initiated
What are my rights?
You may, at any time, request us to:
● Review the information we hold about you;
● Correct this information if it is factually wrong;
● Erase your personal data or restrict the processing concerning of personal data concerning to you;
● Oppose to personal data processing regarding to you;
● Receive the personal data which you have provided us, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format
We will deal with your request with special care to ensure your rights are effective. We may ask you for proof of identity to ensure that we are not sharing your personal data with anyone else but yourself!
You must be aware that, in particular cases (for instance, due to legal requirements) we may not be able to make your request effective right away.
In any case, within one month from your request, we will inform you on the actions taken.
Furthermore, we inform you that your personal data shall not be subject to an automated decision making (including profilling).
You keep the right to lodge a complaint with the National Supervisory Authority For Personal Data Processing at anspdcp@dataprotection.ro.
Can I withdraw my consent later on?
You can withdraw your consent at any time. However, you must understand that it will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal nor further processing of the same data under other legal basis such as contract or compliance with a legal obligation to which Randstad Romania is subject.
