We are looking for a Geologist for our Southern Section of Caransebes – Arad Lot 4 railway, to join in our Webuild team, in Arad.
The Geologist will report directly to Technical Manager, and he will be responsible for topographic measurements. The Geologist will be traveling in the field to carry out topographical measurements and drawing up documentation specific to the activity they carry out.
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out transverse and longitudinal profiles;
Land measurement for the realization of the listed plans;
Carrying out drawings and verifications in constructions;
Topographic and cadastral measurements, GPS measurements, integration of data from measurements and other data acquisition methods;
Extracting data from the project plans (situation plan, longitudinal profile, transversal profiles), including by interpolation where appropriate, as well as checking these plans according to topographical;
Materialization (tracking) in the field of the above-mentioned data;
Topographic elevations in order to determine the quantities of executed works and the calculation of these quantities based on the resulting cross-sectional profiles;
Monitoring of the activities on site regarding consolidation work.
Instrumentation, where required.
Support production team in daily site activities and with the engineer.
Trial test and relevant geotechnical campaign for the use of recycled materials.
Education minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Geology;
Experience in consolidation works (gravel columns, hydraulic binders, foundation stabilization, etc).
Intelligence (logical thinking, memory), communication skills and team spirit;
Attention to details and distributional attention.
PC operating skills: Microsoft Office, Excel, Powerpoint, Internet Explorer;
Resistance to stressful situations and the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines.
Correctness, seriousness, principled attitude in relations with people; communication and relationship skills at all hierarchical levels;
basic English language is mandatory (Italian is an advantage).
