Alma joined the Randstad team in 2021, initially taking on the role of Office Manager. From childhood dreams to a successful career in human resources – The story of remarkable evolution at Randstad
When she was young, Alma dreamed of a career in aviation. “I was fascinated by airplanes and the idea of exploring the world from above, with the opportunity to meet people from different cultures,” she says with a hint of nostalgia. Although aviation was not the career she pursued, the desire to understand and connect with people remained a fundamental principle in her professional evolution.
First steps in her career – Valuable lessons from retail
Her first job was in retail, as a Sales Assistant. “This experience allowed me to develop essential skills, such as effective communication, teamwork, and conflict management, which are crucial in human resources,” she explains. Additionally, during this time, she understood the importance of a strong organizational culture and employee motivation, lessons she applied throughout her career.
Career at Randstad – A dynamic and innovative environment
Currently, Alma holds the position of People & Culture Partner at Randstad, a role that allows her to actively contribute to promoting a healthy organizational culture and supporting teams in achieving common goals. “I chose Randstad because I wanted to work in an innovative and challenging environment, and the company has provided me with continuous learning and development opportunities. A diverse educational journey
With an unconventional educational background for human resources, Alma graduated from the Faculty of Food Engineering, followed by a Master's in Public Administration. “This combination of technical and administrative knowledge helped me develop a broad perspective on the challenges faced in HR and approach issues with a strategic outlook,” she explains.

When it comes to what inspired her to pursue a career in human resources, her answer is clear: “The desire to help people find their place within a team and contribute to creating a positive work environment. I realized that the success of an organization largely depends on its people – and bringing together individuals with skills and values compatible with the organizational culture is key to supporting both their personal development and the company's success.”

For those starting out in human resources, Alma offers valuable advice: “Be patient and eager to continuously learn. Every interaction with a candidate is an opportunity for learning and development. It’s essential to listen actively, understand the needs of both the organization and the candidates, and be open to new perspectives in order to grow professionally and bring value to the team.”
